A Poem

an amygdala
1 min readAug 15, 2019

blue

idyllic skies on an open country road
nary a worry that cannot be escaped
frivolity flickers in hardened hearts

blue

protean waters approaching our shore
bedazzled by sun rays that dance off our hair
before it all, besotted we stand

blue

delicate rings around your onyx eyes
an ephemeral moment, only one of its kind
when my reflection was framed
within the pages of your mind.
