Predicament

A Poem.

an amygdala
1 min readMay 8, 2019

here I am

relegated to the sidelines
of your mind

running the perimeter

a peripheral ghost
haunting you from
the edges of your ears

I am not gone.

even banished
I am still so potent.

our love has become

filth swept into crevices
trinket memories
smashed like glass
all over the place

don’t you see
what you’ve done?

you have scattered us
like ashes inside of your
most unreachable depths

how will you erase
all of these traces
now?
